My View of the Smokies: A Guide to the Smoky Mountains Area
I am a local to the Gatlinburg area. So, my Great Smoky Mountains guide offers you over 60 pages of a locals’ perspective and tips on the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and each surrounding area. In other words, it’s a complete comprehensive guide. The areas covered in the guide are Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cherokee NC, Townsend, and more. I discuss tips, where to stay, specific places to stay, where to eat, attractions to visit, scenic hikes, waterfall hikes, scenic drives, and SO much more.
I’ve created and posted over 100 videos on my TikTok channel about visiting these areas. So, I decided to write it all down, put it together in one cohesive guide, and offer it as an ebook. I used all of my own images, including the cover. I say that so you know these are real images of what the places look like; nothing is doctored or fake.
Most of the attractions and restaurants I mention are hyperlinked. I tried really hard to make this an easy guide to look at and read. That’s why each picture has a caption to tell you where I took it at. And, that is why you can click on most of the places and restaurants to go directly to their website. That way there isn’t any confusion on the place I’m talking about.

This guide is written in the form of lists. As a local to the Gatlinburg area, I know how overwhelming it can be to plan a trip here. There is so much to choose from that it can be hard to narrow down exactly what to see and do. That’s why I created this ebook of listicles. It covers dietary restrictions, physical limitations, traveling with kids, and everything in between. The listicles are not limited to one “town”. Instead, they cover multiple “towns” around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, and Sevierville.
