Where to Eat in St. Augustine?

Below are some of my favorite places to eat in St. Augustine! I’ve personally eaten at each one of these places and they’re delicious! The pictures are mine and the ratings are based on my own opinion and the opinion of those I was with.

Each place listed below has nonseafood options. My mom was with me, and she doesn’t eat seafood of any kind. So, we had to choose seafood restaurants where there is something for her to eat as well.

Planning a Trip can be Stressful and Overwhelming!

If you want some help with the planning, let me know! It’s what I’m here for. Traveling should be stress-free and fun.

I have a strict rule about not eating at the same place twice while on vacation. I almost broke that rule for this place. It is SO GOOD! The food all has a Caribbean flare to it. We were a little nervous about that going in, but we shouldn’t have been. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also very close to our beach house which was convenient.

There are multiple locations in St. Augustine. We went to the beachside one because it was close to our beach house. The coffee was delicious, I actually stopped by two mornings for their coffee. I was so excited to try the Aussie pies!

By the time we got there they were sold out of most of their breakfast ones and were putting out their lunch ones. It was around 10am when we arrived, so if you’re going for breakfast, get there early.

I really enjoyed my Aussie pie, but some of the people I was with didn’t like theirs. However, it’s important to note that they’re very picky… haha! Personally, I’d eat here again!

It’s not on the beach, but still worth going too. The seafood is fresh and delicious! My dad had some oysters and said they were some of the best he has eaten. It was recommended by many locals and, overall, we all enjoyed our food. We did have to have reservations though and it is considered a more upscale place.

The scenery outside of the restaurant is beautiful! It’s on the water and there are palm trees around some of the outdoor tables. There are places for people to tie their boats while they eat, and an area to sit and look at the water/boats.

Oh. My. Goodness. This place was amazing! I love waffles, I love dessert, what more could I want? Go here. Seriously, go here.

My dad got a milkshake and he said it was very good. The rest of us got waffles and couldn’t have been happier. It did take a few minutes to get them because they’re made fresh when you order. There isn’t a lot of seating inside and it would be hard to walk and eat them. So, I’d say that’s the only downside.

My only complaint is that we ate here on our last night in St. Augustine so we weren’t able to go back before coming home. Haha!

It sits close to the pier so it was also very convenient and close to our beach house. We actually hadn’t planned on eating here, but the other place we wanted to go was closed. So, we ended up here and we couldn’t have been happier we did!

The food was delicious, there wasn’t a wait time, and there were lots of options. I definitely recommend eating here.

If you love bagel sandwiches like I do, stop here for breakfast. It was really good! They had other breakfast items as well, and coffee. I got an iced vanilla coffee and didn’t have any complaints.

It was very close to our beach house, which was convenient. Personally, I liked Kookaburra better than Zaba’s. However, most of my family liked Zaba’s better.

If you’re searching for ice cream as one of your places to eat in St. Augustine, this is where you go. They have multiple locations in St. Augustine. We went to the one on St. Augustine beach because it was close to our beach house. The ice cream is homemade in Florida, and the sprinkles and waffle cones are made in house too.

It’s named in honor of the veterans that served in World War II. While flying in Europe, they realized the cold temperatures they flew through were perfect for making ice cream. So, they strapped buckets of cream and sugar into the pod above the landing bays. When they landed they would have a bucket full of ice cream!

We wanted a “fancy dinner night” as one of our places to eat in St. Augustine haha! Basically, a reason to get dressed up and go out for a nice dinner. After weeks of researching, we chose this Spanish-Cuban restaurant.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and the place was so pretty! It was a little pricy, but we knew and expected that going in. They have a salad called the “1905 Salad” and it lived up to the hype. It’s so good that they haven’t changed the recipe since 1905 and they make it right at your table. The dressing amazing! I even bought some in the gift shop.

We did have to have reservations, and even with them we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for a table. In the end, no one was unhappy with the food!

There are many locations in St. Augustine, but we went to the one on Saint George St. I’m a big fan of macarons and these did not disappoint! Aside from them, they also have gelato, gourmet chocolates, coffee, and candies. It’s all homemade and the macarons are gluten-free.

It’s located on Saint George St. I’m not a huge popcorn person, but some of my family members are. They have all kinds of gourmet popcorn options. They will even offer samples to help you decide what you want.

There are two locations in St. Augustine, one of them being on Saint George St. What you’ll find here is gourmet popsicles made with real fruit. Some of them are creamy and made with dairy, but they also have dairy free ones. Don’t get me wrong, the popsicles were good. But, I probably wouldn’t go here again. I just usually don’t eat popsicles and I prefer Cousteau’s Waffle and Milkshake Bar or Bar Harbor Cheesecake Company.

It’s a fresh catch seafood restaurant. It is considered more upscale and you will want to make reservations. The fish, shrimp, and clams served here are caught fresh in Florida on the daily. We weren’t disappointed! It was so good, and I would gladly eat here again.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. When I made our reservations it was already completely booked inside and I had to book outside. So, keep that in mind and make those reservations early.

It’s also close to one of the Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops locations if you want to stop by for a dessert popsicle when you’re done.

Out of all the places to eat in St. Augustine, this one gets the award for best dessert! If you only go to one dessert place, choose this one. This cheesecake is the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten in my life! I mean just look how happy my dad is with his… haha! And yes, he ate that one all by himself! They even offer flights of cheesecake where you get to choose four flavors to try.

When you sit down they bring fresh pineapple to the table with the biggest list of cheesecakes. Along with cheesecake, they also serve charcuterie boards. We didn’t get one of those, instead we all got lots of cheesecake! The atmosphere is very intimate and romantic, so it would be perfect for a date night.

It’s the perfect lunch stop. You won’t find seafood here, instead, you’ll find sandwiches, salads, and soups. We were on the hunt for gourmet sandwiches when we came across this place. The food was good! However, it doesn’t compare to the gourmet sandwiches we had in Maine… haha!

Most of us got a side of chicken noodle soup. Oh. My. Gosh. It was good. Some of the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had. Overall, we all enjoyed it and it’s a nice lunch spot and break from seafood.

Out of all the places to eat in St. Augustine, this one was my favorite. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures of it because we ordered it on DoorDash and I didn’t think to take any. However, the food was amazing! I wish we had actually went to the restaurant because if it was that good after being delivered, I can only imagine how good it would have been in the restaurant.

My family and I all loved our food from here! I got the crab stuffed grouper… I’d get it again in a heartbeat.
