What to do for Galentine’s Day in Knoxville

First things first: What is Galentine’s Day? It’s a day for women to celebrate the women in their lives that they love — rather it’s friends or family.

In other words, grab your girls and go have some fun! Below are suggestions on how to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Knoxville.

1. Self Care

What is better than a self care day to celebrate Galentine’s Day in Knoxville with the girls?! You can start your day with massages. Longevity is my favorite spot in Knox. They do an amazing job and when you’re done they take you to a private bathroom. It is a full bathroom with a shower and you can stay in there as long as you’d like to get ready.

Another great self care option is the Wake Foot Sanctuary. They offer relaxing foot spa experiences with the option to add on massages. It’s not a typical massage though like you would get at Longevity. You can choose between foot and lower leg, hand and lower arm, or head, neck, and shoulder massages. They are performed while you enjoy the foot soak. It’s located downtown so you can always hit up some boutiques before or after your appointments.

Last, but not least the Sanctuary Day Spa is having a Galentine’s Skincare Event. During the event they’re offering snacks, skincare consults, mini treatments, product and technique education, a credit towards a skincare purchase, and more. It’s a great way to pamper yourself while you learn from expert estheticians.

2. Take a Food Class

The Cutting Edge Classroom is having a Valentines Macarons class. You will learn how to make them from a chef and you get to take home your own box of macarons when you’re finished.

Chicken Librarian is hosting a charcuterie board event at Hi-Wire Brewing in downtown knox. During the event they teach you how to make a charcuterie board, then you get to enjoy it! You will also learn the best way to melt chocolate for dipping.

3. Fooooood!

You aren’t celebrating Galentine’s Day in Knoxville if you aren’t stopping to eat! Barrelhouse by Gypsy Circus is having a Galentine’s Day Brunch. They will have a large grazing table full of brunch favorites, unlimited cidermosas or mocktails, have fun at the bouquet making station, take pics at the photo booth, and more.

The Tennessean Hotel is hosting a Galentine’s Day Tea event. It’s not traditional tea, instead it’s cocktail based and features tea and champagne inspired cocktails. They’re served with tea sandwiches and scones. The Spice and Tea Exchange is also hosting an afternoon tea event. You’ll get to have two teas of your choice, finger sandwiches, muffins, scones, cookies, and more.

4. Take a Fun Class

There is a Valentine’s Day Centerpiece Class going on at the Dogwood Arts House and Garden Show. During it you will learn how to make (you guessed it) centerpieces. Once finished you will take your arrangement home with you. With this event also comes free admission to the House and Garden Show for the day.

Book a class at Painting with a Twist. They have two locations in Knoxville and the paintings aren’t always the same at both of them. So, check both locations to see which you’d rather go to. They are offering a lot of Valentine’s Day themed paintings and quite a few that aren’t themed. Most of them are canvas paintings, but sometimes you have the option of choosing a wood plank board instead of a canvas.

Another option is the Galentine’s Lap Dance Workshop at Dragonfly Aerial and Circus Arts Studio. During the class you will learn a fun, sassy, and quite easy lap dance. It’s all in good fun!

5. Go Shopping

Are you even celebrating Galentine’s Day in Knoxville if you don’t go shopping?! The Southern Market Shops are having a customer appreciation event. They’re offering free gifts with at least a $25 purchase and deals throughout the shops.

The Pinnacle at Turkey Creek will be having a Galentine’s Day event for shoppers too. It’s hosted by Altard State, Buff City Soap, and Lizard Thicket. There will be exclusive shopping opportunities with Lizard Thicket, self care treats from Buff City Soap, surprises, giveaways, and more.
