How to Spend a Week in Charleston, SC

This week in Charleston, SC itinerary isn’t for a full seven days. Instead, it is for five days. I wouldn’t call this trip relaxing, it’s more about experiencing the history of the area, the architecture, the food scene, and more.

Like I said, this is a very full itinerary. It could easily be stretched out over seven days to give you more down time during your trip.

The Itinerary

To the right (below if you’re on mobile) you will find the itinerary I created for my family and I during our trip. It’s free to use and free to download. When you click download now you will download a folder. Upon opening the folder you will receive the itinerary in PDF format and in a Word Document. You will also receive the custom map I created for this trip.

Please, use it to your advantage! Planning a trip to The Holy City can be difficult. But, it doesn’t have to be. With my help, you will have your trip planned in no time and can move past the stress and on to full excitement! Haha!

The custom map also has “second choice” places on it. Second choice places are other options (such as restaurants, museums, etc) that you can do if you aren’t able to do something listed on the itinerary. If you don’t want to visit plantations, visit other houses and museums instead. You can easily take a trip to Charleston without going to any plantations — there is so much to do here!

The pictures below are pictures from our trip where we used this itinerary.

How Does it Work?

When you open the itinerary all you have to do is book what it tells you to. There are links to each thing you need to book. Just a few clicks and you are done!

The itinerary is color coded for you. Purple tells you what times the places open and close, blue tells you addresses you will need, and red tells you important things to know.

I created the custom map in Google Maps, and it is also color coded. It has “second choice” places on it too. Second choice places are other options (such as restaurants, museums, etc) that you can do if you aren’t able to do something listed on the itinerary.

If you have the Google Maps app on your phone, all you will have to do during your trip is open the custom map, tap which place you want to go to, and it will instantly GPS the directions for you. You won’t have to enter any addresses.

The itinerary is completely editable to you. If there is something on it you’d like to change, do it! Look at the “second choices” on the custom map and decide if you would prefer to swap one of them with something on the itinerary.

Once you are finished with all of your bookings and reservations, if you are using the Word Document itinerary and not the PDF format, edit them in so you have everything in one place.
